Debbie Thornton, M. Ed., LPC

As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and as a Licensed Professional Counselor her areas of expertise are anxiety, addiction, and biofeedback. She maintains private practise near the Texas Christian University campus in Fort Worth and at Aledo United Methodist Church.

Through a grant, She developed a program titled "Calm Cats" which spread throughout the state of Texas. Using small group counseling and self guided biofeedback the program is designed to help children and their families struggling with anxiety, anger, and a lack of focus.

Self-Guided Biofeedback is a non-invasive technique to help learn about mind and body connection using heart rate variability. Self-Guided Biofeedback increases relaxation, relieves pain and heals the body from the effects of stress. Self-Guided Biofeedback trains awareness and mindfulness for the promotion of healthier life patterns.

Visit her webite www.findthecalm.net for more information on this program
