Thomas has been serving Aledo UMC since 2011.  Thomas was formerly the Director of Music and Worship at Granbury First United Methodist Church.  Prior to that he served as assistant director at First United Methodist Church Bentonville and Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville Arkansas, his home state.  

Thomas is a talented worship leader, vocalist and keyboardist.  He directs our Chancel Choir, Celebration Ringers, and Voices of Praise vocal ensemble. He also plays keyboard at our HUB contemporary worship service.   He has served on the Greater Dallas Handbell Association board of directors and has served as a handbell clinician for bell festivals in Arkansas, Texas and Florida.  He is a former ringer of the Concert Bells of Fort Worth and Ozark Bronze handbell ensemble.  Thomas has a vast knowledge, great talent, and a servants heart.

Thomas graduated from The University of Arkansas with a degree in music where he had the opportunity to be the assistant to Sarah Caldwell, a world renowned opera director.  He also worked alongside Kevin Bogan, the current Music and Worship Director at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Thomas is currently pursuing his Master's in conducting at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.

Kriszta Kovács-Tubbs

Kriszta Kovacs-tubbs

Kriszta joined Aledo UMC in August 1998. She earned her Masters Degree in Music from the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. She came to the U. S. to study at TCU on a Liszt Scholarship established by Van Cliburn. Before coming to Aledo, she had won top prizes in major competitions and played in concert halls around the world including Japan, China, Israel, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Greece, Italy, Scotland, and the United States. Ms. Kovacs plays piano during the 11:00 a.m. worship services. She now lives in Aledo with her husband and three children and has a private piano studio.
