Jayne Dawson

About Jayne:

Jayne and her family joined AUMC in 1976.  With a background in education, Jayne volunteered to serve as Children's lay minister.  She served in all areas of the church and on the design team for the Education Building.  In 1990, with the consecration of the building, Jayne was hired as the first Education Minister of Aledo United Methodist Church.  In this position she coordinated all age level programs from infant through adult.  In 2007, Jayne became the director for the Week Day Preschool, the position in which she currently serves.

Jayne's passion is children.  Her favorite quote is, "A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child".
